Sexual Boundary
Our Boundary Program is primarily focused on consent, impulse control, and empathy. Our boundary clients access this program only through individual therapy, which allows our therapists to ask questions that evoke vulnerable, personal responses that would otherwise be off-limits in a group setting. The topics we cover aim to provide psychoeducation on all matters of consent, what verbal and non-verbal consent looks and sounds like, who is able and unable to give consent, and individual responsibilities when navigating situations that require consent.

NEW - Couples Anger Management Workshop
We are beyond excited to introduce our new couples' anger management workshop. We are opening registration on January 2nd to begin the program on February 7th, 2023.
Our workshop is based on our individual Anger Management program, which has been adapted for the purpose of couples counselling. This curriculum helps couples to identify the common difficulties in resolving conflicts in relationships and provides them with effective tools. We assist couples in reducing conflict, restoring trust and respect, improving communication, and promoting harmony and intimacy within the relationship. In this workshop, couples recognize their unhelpful patterns. They begin to experience their interactions in a new way, as we help remove feelings of helplessness, blame, and isolation. This reframing helps to enhance greater intimacy and closeness, thereby strengthening their bond.
-
What’s Included: Eight group sessions over the course of eight consecutive weeks, each lasting ninety minutes. Small group format, involves group discussion and learning, private couple exercises, and dedicated time for each couple with the workshop facilitator. At the end of the eight weeks, there will be an option to extend with a registered psychotherapist.
-
Who Should Attend: Any couple interested in improving their ability to work together through difficulties, and to increase their resiliency.
-
Who Should Not Attend: Any couple who is already experiencing couple violence, is not encouraged to go into couples counselling until they have learned basic de-escalation strategies. Violent behaviors can include breaching physical, emotional, financial, and sexual boundaries. If this is you, we offer the standard anger management program for individuals. Were commend both parties on taking the standard anger management program before joining the couples anger management workshop. This process will be an important first step as you will be doing some safety planning in order to de-escalate the conflict and ensure that all parties are acting safely, and not-infringing on the rights of the other, which is essential in creating a space safe enough to tackle tough issues in the couples anger management workshop.
